About me

kesterHello. So you come here to learn a little about me eh? Well I live with my wife and my two children near the sea on the South Eastern tip of the UK which means I’m surrounded by fishing boats, castles and seagulls. I have a BA (hons) in Graphic Design from Liverpool John Moores University and before that I studied at the University for Creative Arts (formally KIAD) in Canterbury where I completed my HND foundation course in Art and Design.

I’m hoping this site will serve as a place to collate all the things I make as well as a place where people can get ideas and just catch up on what I’ve been doing. I really like to create all sorts of stuff from films, photography and animations to fused glass, textiles, digital illustrations, websites to painting and printing. So as I do them I’ll post them up and we’ll see where this site ends up.

With regards to software and technical ability I’ve been using Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, InDesign, After Effects, Adobe Acrobat Pro for many years and I’m pretty confident I know my way around them. I’ve been using Visual Studio/Dreamweaver (HTML and CSS) for front end web development and design for the past few years and recently I have been increasing my understanding of Bootstrap for creating responsive websites. I’m also very interested in multi platform digital user experiences and how they can be improved. Other software I use include subversion controls like TortoiseSVN and TortoiseHg. I’ve dabbled in Javascript and Jquery (but by no means an expert) and I’ve used various content management systems such as WordPress, Joomla!, Sitecore and Orchard to create websites.

If you are interested in buying any of the linocuts you see on the site, drop me a line via the ‘contact me’ page and get in touch.

So that’s all I have for you for the moment. If I think of something incredible that will change the course of human development, I’ll add it here. Until then, have fun looking around and if you have any ideas or suggestions just use one of the comments boxes.

I’d love to work with you on your latest project. Please feel free to get in touch and we can have a chat. I’m available for illustration, print graphics, website design/production, photography and if you have any other ideas I’d be interested in hearing them. Just leave a message for me on the ‘contact me‘ page.
